I was motivated to do this piece after the flood in 2018, watching Texans come together the way New Yorkers did during a time of tragedy, when people really need each other is just the best part of humanity. I know animals are always watching us humans through their lenses to see if we can try to get it half right and that was what this piece was about for me. Eyes fo Texas, longhorns, 36x36.
