I did this piece on a smaller scale because I wanted to play with paint colors less familiar to me and was uncertain if I’d like the finished product. As I was creating I got to thinking about my two children who get closer and closer to leaving our nest. It’s a good feeling and a heart breaking feeling all in one. I hope you can feel the emotion in this piece. It is 8x8 on a wooden canvas so you can hang it or easily place it on a bookshelf.
